Amigascne Exotic Amiga music, nostalgia and more. They even mirror HVSC too (thanks!)

Synth, Computer and Game Music Links

Synth Artists Covered on the C64
Jean-Michel Jarre Jarre is one of the most covered musicians covered by SID musicians (except Rob Hubbard, in fact!)
Depeche Mode They were big in the 1980s, just like the C64 was really. And like the C64, they're still going!
Jan Hammer The Miami Vice soundtrack he did inspired many a SID musician.
Vangelis You must have heard of him. Chariots of Fire, Bladerunner? They were his.
Kraftwerk One of the real early pioneers of all things synth and ambient.
Tangerine Dream For some reason, many SID musicians liked their work and covered it. And what does one of them do now? Film soundtracks and the like..
Mike Oldfield Famous for Tubular Bells, which of course later was used in the movie The Exorcist.
Larry Fast/SYNERGY Without Synergy, Rob Hubbard wouldn't have been inspired to write certain game soundtracks.
New Order Many of their 80s songs like Blue Monday and True Faith were often the source of a SID musicians' cover. Manchester's finest are still going as well!
Computer and Game Music Links
Video Game Music Archive Many MIDI versions of all your favourite game soundtracks.
VORC Lots of chiptune information and links to sites, a good news portal.
Game Music Online Quite a number of rare game soundtracks for sale.
The MOD Archive The PC equivalent of chiptunes, I guess. Plenty of nice modules to snag.
Modplug Central Hosts the rather good Modplug player and technical information about module formats as used on the PC. (please don't use Winamp for playing MODs/XMs, it really does suck at playing them!)
Atari SAP Music Archive The best and most accurate Atari XL/XE music collection - with over 2,000 Atari tunes, including some from Rob Hubbard and David Whittaker. The Atari version of HVSC, if you like :)
Atari ST YM2149 Archive The best and most accurate Atari ST music collection - with over 4,500 Atari tunes.
http://tracking.atari.org Atari tracking site, news and information on the Atari 8 and 16/32-bit musicscene.
Amiga Music Preservation Amiga Music Preservation (AMP), a non profit association, is running the biggest and most comprehensive database ever about Amiga music and Amiga musicians.
